Jabulile Majola: Ipasi

Where Isitifiketi was about laying out the cards we are dealt with open hands, Ipasi is the act of moving through it all. Eleven entries tracing the ever evolving growth of self. Some are homes: a house on the coast with its windows turned toward the sky, a lamp lit for sailors in the dark. Some are departures: a calf that turned its back on the herd to play among wild dogs. And some are the heavy, quiet spaces nobody chooses: a man sitting at home without work, a child circled by those who should have carried him.
